Hi

If you’ve been a bit constipated and you’ve pushed you may have given yourself a small Fischer which is a small tear on or inside your Anus so it doesn’t get enough tine to heal in between Poo’s if you go daily . It should eventually heal naturally but if your worried book an appointment at your doctors and they can check if it’s just a Fischer

Take care

I agree with Pete. What I would add is ensure you are taking on plenty of water and fibre (fruit and veg). A few days use of Senna may be helpful to promote healing.

If it doesn't clear go to see your GP to get it checked out.

appointment tomorrow at hospital to see heart failure nurse and when I see her two weeks ago and she said If I have any problems so I will mention it to her tomorrow. I haven't had any problems with hemerroids except I think when I was pregnant 43 years ago. Thank you .

Some of the medication you are on can cause both constipation and diarrheoa and if you have just recently started on the medications it may take a while for your body to adapt. I was on a high dose of Atorvastatin 80mg and found I was getting some diarrhoea which stopped when the dose was reduced to 40mg. The clopidigrel can make you prone to bleeding and if you have strained when going to the loo you may have a small tear. Keep the area as clean as possible use only a mild soap or soap free gentle shower wash or baby wash. You could try some anusol cream on anal area (check with Pharmacist). Although I mentioned that your tablets may be responsible don't neglect this and if it continues to happen after a week or you have any doubts consult your GP. Hope you feel better soon sure it's not serious but don't ignore if it doesn't clear.

Some of your medication also means that you are prone to bleeding more than normal so as with advice already offered make sure you are eating a diet that is rich in fibre and make sure you’re well hydrated. As others have suggested see pharmacist or GP for advice.

Take care

Do you have hemorrhoids? If you do, its just possible that your constipation and 'pushing' that bit harder maybe causing some issues. In any event, if you are concerned enough to write here, you should probably be going to see your GP

It sounds like you’re blood slightly overthinned. I has the same when I was in hospital following a heart attack in September. Before carrying our angioplasty they needed to ‘thin’ my blood or the angioplasty would clog immediately. I had one blockage in tha circumflex. However like you I bled from my nose and anus. Actually only a small haemorrhoid it turned out to be. Have a chat with your GP if you can get an appointment or better turn up at A&E who are better at investigating these problems. Good luck. Mike

Morning, bright looking blood is normally associated with constipation. However it’s good to get advice from your GP

Hi Hazeg, if the blood was in your poo that’s a different story than just on the toilet paper. If it was just in the paper then it’s probably nothing to worry about but if it’s in your poo it should be taken more seriously. As everyone has said, best to mention it to your doctor. Let us know how you get on.

Thank you I have appointment with heart failure nurse this afternoon so I will mention it to. Thank you Stivkinh and I will let you know how I get on.

strangely Aspirin can cause that especially if constipated. As others have said it's common but worthwhile mentioning it to the nurse

Good luck with recovery

The first thing I want to say is defiantly mention this to your Doctor..it does sound like what other people have said and is just a tear known as a Fischer..I recently went through this myself as all the medication we now have to take plays havoc with our systems one way or another..I was quite frightened when it happened to me and told my GP.. After what we are going through and feeling down as it is, I thought the worst.. I do take a Senna when I need too..but the help I got from the Doctor was..Compound Macrogol..which is a stool softener in a powder form..gets things back to normal and you are in control..

Brilliant..

That is a common side effect of Rivaoxaban. Anti coagulation /blood thinning drugs.

I was told nothing to worry about by doctor unless it became very severe.

Can be Nothing to do with hemorrhoids. Although that would not help.

I don't have them but do get blood occasionally not so much now i have been on them a while. Its common if just started taking them recently.

You are wiping too hard. If the blood is fresh you needn't worry. If it is dark and grain then you need to see your GP. Could be a slow leak from an ulcer
