Hi, just a quick question to all you lovely people out there. Does anybody knit? If so, does it give you discomfort in your chest? I have been panicking lately thinking it’s my heart but deep down I know it isn’t but can’t think what it is. I do lots of craft including knitting. Many of which are sat at my craft table hunched over. Could that be the cause?

Who no stop thinking about it try and live and enjoy ur life u have had all ur tubes serviced so why should it be look st your body like a car it as just had a full service and passed its mot why should it breaks diwn
I have worked in IT for decades. What I have learnt is you need five minutes break every hour without fail. During that time walk around, do stretches and focus your eyes on more distant objects. The human body is not designed to sit in one place for hours with eyes focussed at a fixed distance!
Hi, I do knitting and not had chest pain from that, more likely from doing it for a long time and as you say sitting hunched up perhaps. Do a few stretches every so often and change position and carry on enjoying the crafts.
Knitting gave me thumb tendonitis which took ages to heal! Hunched over for long periods is not good all ways round. I agree with the idea of taking regular breaks.
I've been knitting constantly since my HA to give my hands something to do while I stop smoking. I get pain in my back but not my chest. I do get horrible discomfort in my chest every afternoon but hat's a side effect of one of my BP tablets. Once the tablet starts to wear off, I'm fine. I guess it all depends how you sit. I lean back in a chair to knit. Try changing your posture.
