Bypass - harvesting arteries from arm

Hi everyone. Has anyone had an attempted artery harvest from their arm and they didn't take any? I've got this and am 7 months post op. Had an increase in sharp stabbing pains at the wound site. Should I see my GP or is it just part of the healing process? Thanks as always for your support xx

Hiya, I think this is normal as I get twinges and soreness in my leg after 18 years now. I did speak to my GP about it but he didn't feel concerned. Either that or he didn't believe me.

Mine were taken from my left leg. I’m 12 months on now and I still have odd twinges and itches but nothing really uncomfortable. I think it’s probably par for the course but if you are concerned a trip to your GP would be good, even if only for reassurance

I had my CABGs 20 years ago. Any pains, twinges, etc. have long since subsided. I only have the scar. Even that has faded and is almost gone. Yours will calm down over time. If you are worried, see your doctor. Don't think that you are unduly bothering them: You have been through a traumatic experience and you need looking after, by yourself and health professionals.
