Waiting to see what's exactly wrong!!

Hi everyone, its 5 weeks now since I had my heart attack and seem to be no further forward. Had all necessary tests which showed a dilated aortic root and a mild lsvd. Since left hospital ive had a adenosine test then week later my nuclear medicine injection test. This was last week and my sicknote runs out 1st November but without any answers not sure how serious my heart is or what will happen next. Anyone any advice please?

You have had all these tests so they need to work out what the results mean. Your doctor might have received the results. You could go to see them and ask if you can go back to work, if you want to, or get another sick note.

Once all tests were completed (they really dragged on as I was diagnosed with angina) there were a number of peer reviews of my case. The last one included a cardiac surgery consultant from Royal Brompton/Harefield. After this I was referred for a quadruple bypass. Your case may be under a similar review. You could ring your cardiologist's secretary to check.
