No risk factors but repeat MIs

Hi,

This is my first post. in January 2014 I had an NSTEMI, it was medically managed and I did not have any stents. Whilst my recovery took a while (partly due to being on a beta blocker for 6 months which I found exhausting), I returned to "normal" health. I have a normal BMI, have never smoked and exercise regularly. My cardiologist wasn't sure what the cause was, some internal imaging indicated that it was a ruptured plaque but with cholesterol well within the normal range he said that I was unlucky try to put it behind me and carry on with life. In 2016 I had a baby boy and all was fine during my pregnancy and afterwards. On Monday I had another MI whilst I was at work and was transferred by ambulance to hospital. Again I had elevate trop and an angiogram on Tuesday afternoon resulted in 4 stents being put in (1 stent was due to plaque damage and the other 3 due to damage from the procedure). I have been on atorvastatin for over 2 years and my cholesterol is 2.7 and my blood pressure is always on the low side of normal. The doctors don't know what caused this and cannot really really advise what I can do to prevent this happening again. They have doubled my statin dose. Anyone been in a similar situation?

MINOCA Myocardial infarction non obstructive coronary arteries.

Thought to be caused by

Microvascular angina, Coronary artery spasms aka Prinzmetal/ Vasospastic/ Variant Angina, Spontaneous coronary artery dissection-SCAD, Takostubo syndrome.

All these conditions tend to affect women more than men.

Yes I have had similar but no stents so far. Yet last angio showed small amounts of plaque yet the one 10 mth previous right after NSTEMI had shown clear arteries. I also have low cholesterol. Read up on what Milkfairy sends you, I am being tested just now and hopefully will get a firm diagnosis at some point
