Thanks to everyone got the good wishes for my AVR tomorrow but it’s been postponed due to an emergency. It will probably be on Wednesday now - will find out tomorrow.Xx

Found out today it’s now been put back to next Monday. Frustrating - but at least the weather’s nice this week!!

Oh dear, poor you Alison after all the build-up! Really sorry to hear that. But hope it gets sorted quickly. So are you in the hospital or did you find out before travelling? How frustrating but fingers crossed. Nic x

Hi Nic

I had a call just before I left home but I’m fine. Just very happy I’m not the emergency patient! Quite strange sitting watching TV at home when I should be in a hospital bed and I must say it makes me appreciate everything here!

How are you????

Thanks Alison. Yes you're quite right... there but for etc. Hope it gets sorted soon. I'm fine, thanks for asking. Still in limbo. CT scan due on 15th after which things should/may begin to move. They're talking mid-Nov or thereabouts so we'll see. Still get occasional panicky moments but basically just a waiting game. Have been trying to get ahead with Christmas shopping which is weird as I'm normally the one who's adamant he's not going to do anything before at least November! Good luck with your waiting game! Nic x

My surgery was not emergency but it was urgent and since reading this forum I have wondered if someone in the Edinburgh area had their operation postponed because of me. To them I am very grateful.

Sorry to hear that Alison - you do steel yourself for the the op as it approaches so it must be frustrating for you when you're ready to roll! Good that you're at home waiting though. Take the opportunity to spoil yourself. Will be thinking of you this week xx

Yes, I had the same, we got all the way to the hospital , 40 miles, only to be told it was postponed a week. You have to understand as it is somebody else’s chance for life who was deemed more needy!! It could always be the other way around. Problem is we do not have endless specialists and facilities. Good luck

Sorry to hear that. Hope it won't be too long before you get your procedure. I'm due for my angioplasty on Wednesday. My fingers and toes are crossed hoping I don't have a postponement.
