Stent

Had 1 stent put in June 2018 and everything was great for 6 weeks then couldn't get a full breath, doctors have changed one of the tablets and decreased dose of ramipril but still can't get full breath. Have been to A and E where they done further blood tests and MRI scan of my chest but found nothing in lungs. Any advice please.

Hi I got stent in 4 weeks ago after HA, I haven't had the breathing problems you've had but don't feel like I did before HA. I hope they find out what's causing your problem

Nor did I !! But 7 months on I'm feeling quite well it was the statins that hindered my recovery I am sure .

I was on ticagralor for 6 months after my stent. They made me feel breathless but thankfully it went away after I stopped taking them.

Ticagralor makes me breathless even when I'm talking. I can't manage a whole sentence. Now 5 weeks post heart attack and stents and it seems to be getting worse but it's more like having to pant than t get a deep breath in.

Hi was it your Gp or cardiologist who changed your medication as I too had 2 stents fitted after HA and have nit felt right but Gp not monitoring me and not seeing cardiologist till next month.

Hi it was the cardiologist who changed the ticagrolor and was ok for a few days but then the breathlessness came back so the GPS has reduced the ramipril dose to see if that helps.

Keep getting it checked if they can’t find out y? I’ve never never had any breathing issues due to heart meds.
