Angina?

Hi guys you probably know iv had a few problems with Brady and tachicardia over the last few months. Currently waiting on a reveal device being fitted. Since heart attack in February iv had a few periods of tight chest pain. Not major pain but more discomfort. N the last few weeks iv been getting it on and off pretty much every day. I went to a&e in a different area yesterday as I had one of my passing out episodes and this same pain in chest. I was pretty much dismissed without monitoring as I said I was waiting on reveal. They just took blood and it was clear. Ecg was also clear as it always does. The thing is I think I might. Have developed angina but everyone says it's very painful. It's beginning to annoy me as it's there all the time so I'm constantly thinking about it all the time. It doesn't really go away with gym spray. Anyone any input

I assume you are on meds for all this. It could be the dosage needs adjusting. Suggest a visit & chat with your GP.

No meds. Just aspirin and clopidrogel. Too symptomatic to the two they've tried me on. Trying to see a specific gp who knows your history is nigh on impossible. Grrr

My rehab nurse told me if GTN spray doesn't work then it's more likely to be muscular. I get a lot of pain across the front of my shoulders and on my breastbone and always get anxious because i can't work out what it is but anxiety makes it worse. Have you had counselling to help cope with all these problems?

Never heard that one but surely if it's muscular you would feel it when moving said muscles?im not really an anxious person if I'm honest. So laid bk I'm horizontal I'm always getting told 😂

Hi Shoshov. Did you make any progress on this situation? I too have been having chest discomfort in the form of tightness that also makes the top of my back tight. I had a mild heart attack in August and 2 stents fitted. Cardiologist has discharged me and says I am fixed but I’m still getting this chest pain. Doctor says it’s caused by anxiety but I feel it’s the discomfort that makes me anxious.

I don’t get it when I exercise, just when I’m at rest...had it pretty much all day today. The meds I’m on are the usual.... clopidogrel, Candesartan, aspirin, statin and Lansaprazole.

Would appreciate any advice you have.

Hi Rachel. Nothing to report other than I now have reveal device fitted. So far haven’t needed to press the button. I go to first clinic to have it checked in January.hopefully it’s picked something up that can shine some light on episodes. Still getting what they called unspecific pain in chest area sometimes lasting all day. Like yourself exercise doesn’t bring it on. Only at rest. It’s a strange one. Joe your recovering well. Merry Christmas my friend and here’s to pain free 2019❤️shiona
