I had both CT and MRI Stress Scan, it was over a week before I could get the prepared report
Hi I'm waiting for an MRI stress scan and have never had one, how was it, can you give me any info? (did it hurt etc..) I had the ultrasound stress test years ago and it was horrendous.
I waited a few weeks for the result of my rubidium ct scan/stress test. The scan is easy just lay down in the machine with arms raised.
The stress test discomfort depends on your condition. I found it difficult to breath at one point and very unnerving. Possibly due to my condition the stress test doing what is expected and highlighted a problem. Despite the discomfort I was very happy to have this advanced testing available as it is much more accurate measure of EF than the ultrasound.
From my viewpoint yes it was uncomfortable momentarily but it provides real benefit in diagnosing the real condition of the heart.
Would I do it again? Most definitely. The staff at MRI were very good and despite my slight claustrophobia regarding being inside the scanner carried out their works with great curtesy to me and a high level of professionalism.
My stress was drug induced,
I had a Myoview stress scan a few months ago. Not sure if that’s similar. When they put the stressing drug in it made me feel tight chested and very breathless, but it only lasted a few minutes. Hope that helps.
Ur cardiologist will discuss this. That’s wat happened wiv mine.
