hi i've had a stent and some mornings i wake up to the taste of blood, is that normal?

Any link to stents seems incredibly unlikely. Probably causes are gum (have you visited dentist recently) or stomach (check with GP as could be related to medication). If there are serious signs of bleeding go to A&E.
