Hearth medication and waight gain.

I am on a lot of medication sins I have a stent operartion in February. .....I have put on

In waight and I try hard to get back to my normal waight. I have always been slim.I go to the Jim, I do a brisk walk between 7- 10 miles every day and I loose not one single gram body waight.Can the medication be the reason for that.Jytte.🌹

I would discuss this with your doctor. Your medication might need changing. Putting on weight is the last thing you need right now.

There were issues with older style beta blockers but this should not be an issue these days. In addition some other (non heart) drugs cause issues with weight gain.

You need to review with your GP but may need to modify your diet.

I had issues with weight gain on Bisopralol but my GP is currently working with me by trying other drugs with it in the hopes that we can cut down the dose. Having said that, after two months on the Bisopralol my body seems to have started to tolerate the drug a little better as I have lost weight over the last three weeks.

Rather helpfully my cocktail of heart meds keeps make feeling slightly nauseous, so my weight stays pretty low! I’m trying to look on the bright side!
