Are there any support groups for heart failure in the NHS

A week ago discharged from hospital after heart failure with no information, just a list of my medicines for my GP to review and a visit in two weeks from respiratory nurses. I have chronic copd on 8 litres oxygen and frankly not sure what I am supposed to do now

Hi, I don't know of any NHS support groups but there is a heart failure charity called Pumping Marvellous. There also have a closed Facebook support group of the same name. I highly recommend it for the amazing support & advice I've received

The BHF run Heart Support Groups-whilst they are for all cardiac patients you may find some groups local to you also have heart failure patients who attend. You can go to the heart support group page on our website and fill in your postcode to find your local groups.

If you need more information on your new diagnosis of heart failure, please call our Heart Helpline on 0300 330 3311. The cardiac nurses can support you, and also send out lots of really useful information for you, which may help fill the gaps now you've been discharged from hospital. We can also find a local heart support group for you.

Best of luck,

Ashleigh
