High cholesterol and breathlessness

Hi. I’m a 56 year old lady, living in Eastbourne. I have high cholesterol and breathing problems.. Anyone else in a similar situation, do message me for chats and mutual support..

I have breathing problems but after nearly 10 years of low blood pressure I’m glad mines gone high as my heart is finally working better after tons of ops so now trying to lower it to normal and not low.

Hi. Thanks for your message.. I’ve been breathless for 10 years and didn’t know what was causing it but I had a blood test recently and my cholesterol was 5.6.. so high, so I guess this could be causing it.. I don’t know whether I should have an ECG as well as I wonder if it can tell anything much? Do you know? What ops have you had? Glad to hear your heart is working better now.. I live in Eastbourne by the way.. Claire.

Hi

Having high cholesterol alone will not make you breathless. You should push your GP to investigate further

That sounds good. I was born with a heart condition so knew it was related to my heart condition and knew my low blood pressure was due to my heart condition but having high is a risk factor for heart issues that anyone can get. I kno ppl who are low risk but had stents and I’m high risk due to my heart condition and had stents.

Have you considered that it may be lung related rather than heart related?
