With two anonymous donation the Abbeydale Miniature Railway in Sheffield has been able to purchase a defibrillator for club use and when we are open to the public. The Sheffield Ambulance Service provided training and 43 members turned out on a Saturday morning for this.
The sense of installing the defibrillator came home to us as one member had a heart attack whilst it was being delivered.

Well done, my work place has never purchased a defib. Great that someone was so generous. This heart info is relatively new to me so I am on a learning curve and have recently got a pacemaker/ICD.
Excellent news! Having seen someone collapse and die in a previous company's car park (before their general availability) I firmly believe any company with ten or more employees should have one! The cost is not that high compared to their IT and could save a life!
