Hi everyone, I’m feeling quite anxious about going on holiday next week. STEMI on 3rd March and still not feeling great. Still get stent pain and aching chest. Pretty tired coz always low blood pressure. I’m scared of something happening on the plane or in Majorca!
Now I have a return of a weird sensation that started couple of years ago: it feels like hot water running down my inner knee area, for a few seconds. Just the last couple days it’s happening a lot. I’ve been to doctor before and she doesn’t think it’s dvt but didn’t suggest what it could be...
Anybody got any ideas or thoughts?
Thanks.

Hi Luciann, Did you do Cardiac rehab as it may be an idea to chat to one of the nurses on the team. Failing that there’s the BHF helpline who may be able to help? Sorry I’m not that much help, but in my case I’ve always gone back to the cardiac team as my current GP isn’t that interested in cardiac matters. Hope you get some answers!
Hi, I am still in rehab so I can ask them after my holiday. It’s hard to know who to believe though coz cardiac nurse said my aching lower leg was statins but the doctor said that’s not true 😕
Oh that’s not good. Definitely ask again and say that your GP/Cardiac nurse say different things. You could also ask your pharmacist as they’d know about side effects from the statins too, they may know more detail.
Hope you get it resolved, but enjoy your holiday! 😎
Ps on the stent pain, I think that’s quite common, but if it persists flag it up at cardiac rehab.
