Morning all hope you're all well, jus wanted to give an update on my husbands test results, he had a stress echo and exercise ecg, and all came back fine, no damage to the heart, his exercise tolerance is good and ef is 56, which is normal, so they will leave his blockage of artery alone no intervention needed, what his cardiologist explained was his blockage occurred slowly the heart developed its own bypass, it is good news but I'm still worried that one of his main artery is completely blocked, but have to go with the experts advice
Just an update : Morning all hope you... - British Heart Fou...
Just an update
unless angiogram is done , complete block is not certain.if he has pain take next step otherwise relax
He had the angiogram done few weeks ago and they decided not to put the stent in as it was a chronic total occlusion
Sorry i missed that point . How many minutes he is able to excercise . If he has done full 9 minutes and there is no changes noted in heart then it is very good . Collaterals are full proof
He said he has done the full ten minutes, to me waiting out side felt ages. He said he was okay with the heart it was his knees started hurting,
Check what is the report text it is . In your earlier post a month ago says "He had an angioplasty and few ecgs done since, no mention of heart attack" . Are you sure he had an angioplasty ? In this post you are saying "no intervention" . Check that out as well . if 10 minutes stress ecg is ok 10mets workload is fantastic .No reason of worry.I have an article let me see if I can send a screenshot or convert it into link and paste it here
Sorry I meant an angiogram, not angioplasty, they took him to the lab to do an angioplasty but couldn't do it due to chronic total occlusion, and decided to do echo stress test
Great ..this is exactly my case one year back on this day see my profile page healthunlocked.com/user/con...
