Does anyone know how long it takes to get the results from a 24 holter monitor and how do you hear back? It's been just over 3 weeks. My doctor arranged the holter monitor but I went to the hospital to get it fitted. I rang the doctors today and she said there was no results yet. Do I have to ring the hospital? Or will either the doctors/hospital eventually get back to me? I had the monitor fitted as I am having missed beats.
Thanks for any help.

There are no hard and fast rules here and it does vary region to region. You will eventually be contacted, usually by letter. Typically you will get a copy of the letter sent by your cardiologist to your GP. You would then either make an appointment to see your GP or the letter will tell you to attend the hospital. I would have thought 2-4 weeks would be about right. My advice is to keep chasing.
I have to get the monitor fitted and hope you hear back soon. It can cause anxiety waiting. Just assume they are taking care of it and look after yourself while you wait
