I'm 44 years old my Cardiac History is extensive. Had a hear attack at 40 had 2 stents then they closed had a double bypass which failed due a issue with my Arteries. then 3 more stents . Closed again and a second double bypass in the space of 20 months. Now back at work but the Medication is doing my head in . I worry it's hiding issues . If I stop taking them will i be be back to square one is it a false better . I hate taking the meds i feel bloated and not the person I was my heads a bit wasted .

Looks like you’ve been through the wringer more than a few times. You don’t mention what’s meds you are on. I would suggest that something isn’t quite right if you feel bloated. The drugs should keep you stable and hopefully, better. If you are concerned try talking to your GP or you could give the BHF nurses a call.if your head is all over the place, a common problem, talking to a counsellor might help.
I am sorry to hear that you are going through this difficult time. With your extensive medical history it is important that you take medication to reduce the workload of your heart and reduce your risk of future events. I would recommend that you assess your medications with your GP and see whether there are better options for you/you need a change of dosage to improve your quality of life.
It might be worth asking your pharmacist to review your medication. Many seem to have better knowledge than GPs as they often see the patients more frequently. Personally I think independents better than chains (does company policy come into it?) with the ones in the supermarket where you "Eat Well For Less" the worse for advice. But please note that is my personal opinion!
