Hello everyone, does anyone have a good description of what Ischaemic Heart Disease is?

My Angina was caused by it but now having had two stents fitted I am doing ok.

ischaemic = lack of blood flow/ oxygen to a certain body part/tissue.

Ischemic Heart Disease= structural issue (such as narrowed arteries) meaning poor blood and oxygen delivery to the heart muscle.

Glad you're doing ok. There is a lot of info on BHF website & their booklets about IHD & Angina. I have the same & also bought some good books about i them on Amazon. Best of luck. Clare
