Well everyone I had my angiogram on sat 17th (my birthday as it happens). I was petrified and shaking. Cardiologist was down to earth and just got on with it. Nurses and theatre staff were brilliant. They even bought me a cake. Thought all was well. Just getting dressed to go home and I couldn't bend my arm, looked and there was a very large swelling on upper arm. Told nurse who immediately got another nurse and first one and then the other pressed really hard onto my arm for about 20 mins as it seems the artery was torn when taking out the line. Have a massive bruise from thumb to half way past elbow. Lovely colourings. Quite sore but no heart problems found, so in the end it was worth it.

so glad you ended up with a good result, what a lovely Birthday present and a big relief for you. Just take it easy with your arm and hope it heals up nice and quickly.

Glad it was spotted while you were in the hospital. A friend ended up with a blood oedema from groin to knee as he only spotted the issue when he got home and had to go through A&E.
P.S. Happy birthday! With the positive news you probably feel 21 again!
As birthday presents, its hard to beat a positive heart outcome, although the torn artery must have been a bit of a shocker!
Happy Birthday
Thankyou all for your upbeat comments, yes I am pleased, of course, but I wonder why they don't do a routine check before patients leave the unit.
