12 days ago I had my first heart attack at 74 treated by having two stents fitted on arrival at hosp to deal with the two 100% stenoses in branches of main artery. i am feeling great, walking every day and sticking to 1200 cals aday with emphasis on foods to bring down LDL and increase HDL
I may have to have a third stent as another artery has a pronounced kink in it.
For five years I have had irregular SVT episodes normally stopped by my doing vasovagal exercises but occasionally with adenosine
Just saying Hi

Thanks for welcome. My heart attack was four weeks ago now and I think I am doing well. I am back to walking as much as I ever did though I aim to increase that considerably over the next week's. We have a lot of flat walking near us on The Tarka Trail along the Taw estuary so lots of wildlife and boats to watch. My eating has improved in quality but not quantity so that is the focus over the next month. And I have started to practice my French horn again as my breathing seems OK. BUT my sleeping is as bad as ever and I rarely sleep more than 2-3hours in a stretch. If I have five hours in total I am very grateful. However I never get really tired so I guess it's just normal for me. I blame medication side effects....I have been on bp meds since my twenties.
