Advanced coronary artery stenosis

Hi. I was rushed into hospital a couple of months ago with chest pain that was gastric cause and had a cat scan with a dye to look at my heart. They found ‘advanced’ coronary artery stenosis. I’m symptom free but have been started on a statin. Feeling lost and wondering ‘what the hell!’ Didn’t see this coming at all. I’m 53 yrs old.

I think the ‘didn’t see that coming’ comment applies to just about everyone on this site, as does the ‘feeling lost’ bit. I assume that at some point you’ll get to see a cardiologist, but for now try to relax, it’s not the end of the world or anything like it. Take the statins(most people have little or no issues) and do all the things we should all do - healthy diet, healthy weight, regular exercise etc. You can still enjoy life.
