Having had a gripe on here last week about the wait for my bypass, after my GP contacting our local Cardiologist, i had a phone call Thursday evening from the Brompton to ask if i want the operation Wednesday 29th Novemeber. Naturally i said yes, but its one of those things that with one breath you say yes and then realise what you saying yes to and take a big gulp.
so provided there is a bed free, i go in Tuesday late morning and have the operation sometime Wednesday. Now i have the date you can start planning again, think of the future, it has just been on hold waiting for the operation, waiting as you see and feel your health deteriorating, Now though all going well it will be lnwards and start getting life back to normall, whatever normal is.
Gos bless you all

Glad you've got your date at last. I'm 3 weeks post AVR op and doing well, still sore but that's hardly surprising. You'll be fine, they'll look after you well, apart from waking you up at unearthly hour to do your obs (6am at Glenfields)! Once you've had your op you can start getting on with the rest of your life.
