hello, am sorry to hear of your condition. This site has a few links to understanding and coping with it, try looking here bhf.org.uk/heart-health/con...

Pretty sure one of the volunteer nurses will respond as well

Hi there - I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis with cardiomyopathy. The link that skid112 gave you will give you some helpful information, and if you know which type of cardiomyopathy you have we have specific booklets you can download or order for free through the website.

If your cardiomyopathy is inherited, you can always contact your genetics centre and speak to a genetic counsellor there for some help and advice. As a general rule, the usual recommendations for a healthy lifestyle apply - such as eating a healthy, balanced diet and being physically active.

I hope this helps.

Take care, Chris
