So we received a letter today, that my lo has been called in for an emergency cardiology appointment to get a left sided ecg done, so glad we aren't waiting until August, a little nervous over how quickly they have sorted it 😕

Emergency ecg
Hi, it is good that they have called you in sooner if they need to. It is unnerving when it is unexpected but there are easily lots of explanations and does t mean you need to worry (but so easy for anyone to say and a whole world apart different in reality I know). So I'm not telling you don't worry (as i myself find thay REALLY annoying when people do it to me)....but rather it is good to try and think of it as being positive in that if there is anything you and the docs need to know then it will be picked up sooner, which means it can be managed/treated sooner (can only be a good thing) and you can be proactive; and if there isn't anything wrong then you know quicker which can only be a good thing too. I'm sure in the meantime if you have any worries or concerns that the nurses on the BHF helpline will be able to offer some words of reassuring wisdom 😊
Just remember to write all your questions down beforehand, and that no question is silly. If you think you are likely to avoid asking them then actually give them to whoever you see and ask them to go theough each one witg you and explain in as much detail as you feel happy with. It is okay to ask for more/less depending upon what is right for you. And if yoy feel hurried, though I hope you're not, ask to speak to their specialist nurse or a doctor (even if it means going back).
Yes they're hugely under pressure and strain but that doesn't mean you are not important and any less deserving of being reassured/confident and happy with the detail of information you are given.
Good luck and hope everything turns out to be okay 😊
Thankfully the nurse said there was nothing on the ecg that jumped out at her so we r just waiting to see specialist to get the rest of the tests run.
