Help needed with treatment.

Hello everyone, I know I don't usually post on here, I'm one of those people who think they can cope.

I've had Psoriasis for 38 years. It started mildly with the scalp, then moved onto the upper arms, a bit more noticeable. Things stayed that way for about 30 years and then diminished. I put this down to being on thyroid meds. A couple of years ago I suffered for three months with undiagnosed whooping cough and Psoriasis came back, this time on my lower legs and this is my problem. The Psoriasis does not plaque, it's red circles about the size of an old half pence. I've been using Doublebase a prescribed by my GP some time ago, but it's not working. My GP is no longer available and I have no confidence in the other doctors. I would like, if I have to see a doctor, to be able to request a suitable remedy. I'm a bit out of touch with what is available so would be grateful for advice and suggestions. Thank you
