Does anyone just get one or two big ulcers in mouth instead of a cluster of them during a flare up ? I seem two get one big one on tongue

I do too! I get max 5 at a time but never in clusters. They suck.

I don't seem to ever have clusters and its not that im feeling that missing out I can assure you Lol , just that someone once said to me that cause I don't get clusters of mouth ulcers it can't be Behcets ...

I don't get clusters either Hugh. Well, actually I rarely have them now thanks to Colchicine, but when it was only ever two or three in my mouth at any one time. As we are discovering all the time - Behcet's is more than just ulcers isn't it!

However they are so big that if they are near each other they join up!

I've posted some photos of my recent oral and skin ulcers on MedHelp. Just Google the words ( linear Behcet's ) and the first result should be my post about BD skin ulcers. Click on my name "behcets" and click on "See All" photos. Note: the skin ulcers and spontaneous bleeding lesions I get are NOT typical of Behcet's, but it's what MY disease does to me.

I wish digital cameras and the internet had been around earlier in my disease. Connecting with others and explaining stuff to my doctors would have been easier.

I like you only get one or two at a time and they heal quite fast. But I seem to suffer more heavily on the joint pain etc.

I get the big ones and they are awful, especially under the tongue, have tried assorts of things to relieve them but haven't yet found anything that works, does anybody have some hints ?

Betamethasone 500 microgrammes soluble tablets work fantastic - tablets dissolve then use as a mouth wash ... Relieve pain and after 5 - 6 days sometimes they clear up... Hope it works for you too

This is how mine look. More like blisters than ulcers. You can see some on my bottom lip, too.
