My partner is pregnant has 8 weeks left. We have been together 2yrs. After falling ill in the last week. She has tested positive for chlamydia. But on every other test she's had through her pregnancy nothing has come up.
How is this possible if I've only been with her for the duration of our relationship and she has only been with me. I've never had it prior to our relationship nor has she.
I've tried to look online for questions but nothing is giving me answers.
Any advice ?

Routine tests in pregnancy do not normally include chlamydia screening. So this would be a new result. It is possible it could be a false positive result - see my previous posts on here about that . Regardless, and especially as your partner is pregnant, you will need screening and treatment. If your test comes back positive , it is more likely a true positive result as the chance of two false positive results is very small.
We are both getting treatment this week 1 week course. Just to be sure. I just couldn't get my head around us having it when we both are truly faithful to each other.
That's great. Even if the test is negative you should still take treatment, in case of false negative result. The chance of this, like a false positive, is very small but not zero .
You should take doxycycline, and your partner one of the following :
Doxycycline and ofloxacin are contraindicated in
pregnancy.
regimens (Level Ia, Grade A)
. Azithromycin 1 g as a single dose
or
. Erythromycin 500 mg four times daily for seven days
or
. Erythromycin 500 mg twice daily for 14 days
or
. Amoxicillin 500 mg three times a day for seven days
