I have recurrent vaginal thrush basically every month now. I take the tablet to treat it, it goes away and I have a period and it comes back and I just repeat the process. I have been to the doctors and been on the 6 months of fluconazole I didn’t get it while I was on the course but as soon as I had finished it came back. I’m on the mini pill. Could it be that ?
I’ve had recurrent thrush for nearly two years now and it’s really starting to affect my mental health. ANY help or advice would be much appreciated. Or even if someone has gone through something similar and would just share their experience.
Thanks all

sorry to hear that. I am 2 months in a weekly pessary and I can’t seem to fight the thrush. I still have 4 pessaries more to go. Then I will ask GP what is next which I believe is the 6 month treatment you had ? My thrush has appeared out of nowhere but gets worse before and after period so I feel like my hormones are causing it as I also get at the same time ulcers in my mouth or cold sores. No idea what kind of specialist I should be speaking advice from. I read not many success stories of the 6 month treatment.
I have been suffering with the same thing for years now and am allergic to Fluconazole so always use the pessaries. Now trying a GF and low sugar diet and taking probiotics but have thrush now having just finished antibiotics for a UTI - sorry nothing helpful to say other than I FEEL YOUR PAIN.
