Hi. So I have had symptoms for 7 weeks. I read an article yesterday about long tail coronavirus. Does anyone know if this means I still have the virus or if I am just dealing with the aftermath of it please?
Thank you

Are you a man ? or a woman ? how old are you ? you do not give details ! What symptoms do you have ? Are they Covid symptoms or symptoms of another disease ?
We need information. Lots of information !
Hi. I am a 42 year old woman. I have sickness, painful stomach, loss of appetite, torso pain, chest pain, dizzy. I feel like I am getting better but then get knocked right back again. I had burning lungs and breathing problems to start but these appear to have passed now.
Ok. I am not a doctor but it could be you have Dengue fever. It is related to Covid but some scientists and doctors are at odds with this. You say you have had this for 7 weeks...from what I know it could come and go for a few months....but the debate is ongoing. But clearly you must treat it as though you have the covid and self isolate. If you go out "stay alert" as per government guidelines.
I hope you are not suffering too much. Stay safe.
Thanks. I truly hope it does not go on too much longer. It is horrendous and getting me so down now.
There could be many possible causes for these symptoms. You need a medical assessment.
Thank you. I have been trying to get a doctors appointment but they wont see anyone. I am completely left on my own with this sadly unless I go to a and e which I don't want to do.
Have you called 111 ? The NHS is still working , people with other problems that are not COVID still need to be seen. You need to be effectively triaged . If these symptoms are as you mentioned, you do need a medical assessment either at a walk in GP service or at a hospital A and E. remember hospitals are taking maximum precautions and you are likely safer there in A and E than in some public areas like supermarkets etc. I would call 111 in the first instance.
