What’s the BMI Cut Off Point for the Combined Pill?

So, I have PCOS and a few months ago I recently became sexually active after 3 years and told my doctor I wanted to be put on the pill. At the time, she told me my BMI was too high for the combined pill and put me on a mini pill (which was god awful and did not help). I’ve tried googling but no answers have come up so far so - does anyone know what the BMI cut off point is for the combined pill? As I’ve lost a lot of weight since then and I want to try again. Thank you!

Actually there is no absolute cut off now . ukmec.pagelizard.com/2016#s... . See section on obesity. >35 BMI is a category 3 meaning unless you have a really good reason the risks potentially outweigh the benefits. If you have other additional factors like smoking , reduced mobility, other clotting risks then it might push a person to category 4 where it would not be prescribed. Also it depends on how PCOS affects you. How about an IUD/IUS ?
