I was on cetezette after the birth of my son and the doctor changed me to cerelle not realising it was a different type as I finished my last pack and just started the new one straight away on day 5 of my period would I have been protected ??

i would say no for the first 7days as its a different kind of contraception BUT some do last for up to 7days after taking so i think you should be okie
As long as you started taking the new pill on the first day of your period your covered😀
