Housing options for low functioning teens/adults?

My brother has low functioning autism and I am not sure weather I or my mum will be fit enough to take care of him as he gets older.

Are there care options for him? Are they all private services?

Not sure where to start. All information would be useful.

Thanks.

in London, social care worker finds him specialist place/residential care home where they look after him, 24hr. My son is in one as he had challenging behaviour - he kept wanting to go out but they have managed to keep him busy inside. We visit him once week.
