Hello im new tot he site my 12 year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with ASD.

Hi, welcome! I have a (nearly) 12 year old son with ASD and a 9 year old daughter with ASD. My son was diagnosed just over a year ago and my daughter was diagnosed over the summer. It's been a hard slog but having the diagnosis has made a difference. Now we are trying to sort my husband out (he's on the waiting list to be assessed)! If you need anything, let me know. Having girls with ASD is different to having a by and girls are often missed out. That's why it's so important for us mums to try to make sure our girls get what support they need. xxx

Could I ask please how you get started with an assment for your child? School have not been any help.
