does anyone have cold legs when they go to sleep? I often have to put an extra cover on just my legs.

Hi Wibblywobbly,

I often feel cold but then I often feel too hot! Since I'm well past the menopause

this is something I didn't expect. I can't sleep if my feet are cold, so I always wear

fluffy socks in bed, sometimes even in summer!

In the Winter in Scotland we get what is called "chilled" when you've been out in the snow/ ice and can't seem to get warm. Relaxing in a hot bath brings your body up to a normal heat. Or a hot shower. I find its the onlh way to get myself warm for tjr night it heats up yje blood and gets it flowing. Pop Epsom salts in the bath and have a vitamin and iron every day will work magic! Its only a pound/euro/dollar for a tub of cheap vits & iron and they contain the same ingredients as the more expensive stored. These are amazing for making your bod healthy and warm :)

I agree. To warm up my legs before bed I stand and stretch whilst leaning upon the stair banister.

yea i do in the winter i go and electric heat pad which goes on my bed and it can just be put under my feet and just heats that area rather than the electric blankets that heat the whole bed. i try to avoided fluffy socks if there not grip ones as i have a wood floor and end up slippping if im not bare foot

i use a ( real not imattion ) sheepskin rug and put it over my top sheet, to get my legs and feet lovely and warm.....cost me £30 pounds and worth every penny.

My feet are freezing right now, I've had to put my bootee slippers on! Re the fluffy socks,

during the night I kick them off for visits to the loo, and put my slippers on, even if I'm in

a desperate hurry! It's probably a lot more stable to be barefoot but that's something I've

never been able to do.

I have cold hands. And feet a bit. Anything anyone can empart will be handy.

The cold feeling goes if I'm ever in a hot climate.

HI Scruffycat

yes, in hot climates, we all seem to benefit....our symptoms seem to dissappear and yet its only when we get back in sunny ole england that all our nasty symptoms seem to come back and haunt us.

if only the ataxia doctors, would give us a prescriotion for atleast 2 overseas holidays a year.....lol

half of us cant work due to safety reasons and them sort of holidays, don't come cheap

My nose and face get cold, I don't really want to have to put a hat on as well! Sometimes, no

sooner have I rushed to put extra layers on, than I feel like I can't breathe and nearly pass out

with the heat! I heard this morning on the news that the price of summer holidays' will come

down.
