I've been offered an injection into the brain.

For my eye movement and double vision

Still thinking about it

Because I've had severe Iritis, there is a reluctance to interfere too much

with my eyes, in case the condition returns. Apparently, some people

have this injection on a fairly regular basis, and find it very helpful.

Currently, the lenses in my glasses are quite thick and heavy because

of the amount of prism incorporated in them, I also have an additional

stick-on prism added to the left lens, making it even more unsightly.

Shortly, I will be trying an Occlusal contact lens in the eye causing the

double vision. This is a double edged sword, because although it

alleviates the problem (seeing double), it means I will only see with

one eye. Plus, I will still need glasses, but containing a much lighter

lens.

I haven't been offered an injection directly into the brain to deal with

vision problems, I don't envy having to make that decision.

I occasionally have double vision, but have not had Botox injections. I've heard some people do though but, sorry, i cannot speak from experience... ;o)

Thank you for the info anyway. My eye problems share some characteristics

with those caused by Ataxia, but are not directly related to this condition.

At the moment, I am seriously thinking of trying the Botox to see if it helps, I'll

post the results on this site.

Hi,

My eyes are not too bad yet. Just a small nystagmus.

But I saw a different specialist on Weds and he talked about botox injections into the muscles in my arms and legs to reduce the spasms and contractions. I need to research and think about it.

I live in France by the way, so may be different here - but has anyone heard or had experience of this?

Hi

It might be best if you asked your question as a new question as more people are likely to see it. I would offer to do it for you but I could only post the question as written by me and therefore any answers would be directed to me, not you.

Best Wishes

Harriet
