I am still able to work thankfully but a blue badge would help as I get nervous crossing roads etc, is a parking badge a possibility ?
you should be able to get a blue badge if you fit the criteria contact your district council for the application form. They have tightened up on issuing them so my advice is use the old adage of fill fill it in as though it is your worst day and keep a copy [scan it] so in 3 years time when you need a replacement you know what you put
Hi there
A blue badge is absolutely a possibility for you. You may automatically be eligible for one or as johnpa said above you may have to complete a longer, more detailed application form. The following link will tell you more.

tks guys, looking better than I expected
Yes I have a blue badge! Makes things ALOT easier. Call your local council they should be able to help x
If you get a blue badge, the choice will be yours as to how you use it - you will still have
to pay/be subject to restrictions in some circumstances. RB
Yep fully understand, but would aid me considerably
I got mine yesterday.
Suggestion: as the others have said, describe a bad day. Don't be shy.
I also made a copy of the completed form for my GP so she knew what I had said, and could respond appropriately when the council asked her for confirmation. Every GP is different but I wanted to ensure mine didn't describe a good day for me - if she was asked.
Mine is due for renewal and has been very helpful. That was three years ago.I cannot cross the road either but the Blue Badge means you can park it where is easiest for you but I am and always have been a considerate parker.
I am very slow and amble across the road with a rollator so it clear I am disabled and not elderly. Most people think I have had a stroke.
