Hi. My name is Iain and I am a member of the West of Scotland Ataxia UK branch. I don't know of any Support groups specifically for young people but you're son and family members would be welcomed into our group meetings anytime. We are a very supporting group of people who come together to share our experiences of ataxia and new members are always more than welcome to join us. We also as a group go on occasional social outings. Last week we all had a great day out at the Falkirk Wheel. Our meetings take place at the MS Revive Centre in Maryhill every four months.

If you are interested then let me know and I will forward you details of our next meeting. Wishing your son good health and take care yourself. Iain

i would agree with ian you will welcomed with open arms god bless

I have asked our branch chairperson to forward the details of our next meetings by Email to me Linda. I'll let you know as soon as I can.

Our meetings take place every four weeks and not four months as I stated in my previous post sorry. All our meetings are held on a Sunday afternoon from 2pm till 4pm so this should be better for Ross. I personally love kids and would certainly make him feel very welcome. Iain

Hi Linda. I have just received and Email saying that our next Ataxia meeting will be held on Sunday September 2nd at the MS Revive centre in Maryhill, Glasgow. If you need directions then let me know. Iain.
