🤔 The brain is an amazing organ that influences how we think, move, and feel. Many things can affect the way the brain works, and when your brain is impaired, you may not think or act the way you normally would. You may hear this condition referred to as an altered mental status.

Morning W Bee

It’s a good website that you have attached as Ataxia definitely affects on how we process information. I suffer really bad mood swings especially at night for no apparent reason ☹️

Take care my friend.

There are a number of reasons why someone could be given a diagnosis of AMS….and it is important to remember that many causes can be treated.

If you have a diagnosis of Cerebellar Ataxia..it is likely that you notice a lot of changes..not all of them physical.

Many of us diagnosed with a form of ataxia notice changes in our ability to control emotion, and have difficulty expressing ourselves..we can lose focus during conversation and be endlessly forgetful. ..these problems are not unusual even though they can be frustrating and obviously upsetting.

🙂 This link explains why this can happen..

Yes..I find some days are especially challenging…mood swings can come out of the blue. I wonder if a build up of fatigue can be one of the factors🤔

Hi. I took part in research at Sheffield that included cognitive, emotional, speed of thinking and memory tests. Before I was asked lots of questions about multi tasking and my mental health. It was Beyond Celiac an American organisation conducting research on the impact of gluten on the brain. Had no feedback yet though but any long term illness will effect mental health and research says disfunction of the cerebellum can have a chemical impact so a double whammy!Meditation and mindfulness helps me and if you are not able then a few deep breaths may help.

Take care.
