Photobiomodulation
Apologies! Should have read:
I wondered if anyone else had considered or heard about Photobiomodulation?
‘Photobiomodulation (PBM) describes the use of red or near-infrared light to stimulate, heal, regenerate, and protect tissue that has either been injured, is degenerating, or else is at risk of dying. One of the organ systems of the human body that is most necessary to life, and whose optimum functioning is most worried about by humankind in general, is the brain’
I’ve been doing my research and found this, and lots of other information about it

Ur wise input appreciated ✨❤️🧜♀️❤️✨
I will need to read this again to take it in but it sounds wonderful ( too good to be true?) Sad that it seems to cover a wide range of neuro options but no mention of ataxia. Thank you for posting it.
Did Joe mention something similar in one of his posts?
Thanks, yes I thought it may well be too good to be true, until I saw the nih.gov assessment and trials and so I thought I’d ask for thoughts? I’m desperate frankly !
Stimulation, healing and regeneration sounds good and as the cerebellum is the control panel of the brain and where ataxia originates, I was thinking if that area is targeted then it would help?
I know the overview covered a lot more than brains.
I have not seen a post from the guru joe/sunvoxx - but I will look for it as he is the oracle on these matters!
Thanks
🙂 Lets hope this becomes useful for all Neurodegenerative disorders.
I know, I hope so! It’s awems to make sense to me? They are currently trailing it - (but the pharma will squash that I reckon)...
‘Anyway, to explain a bit further...
The LED therapy increases blood flow in the brain, as shown on MRI scans. It also appears to have an effect on damaged brain cells, specifically on their mitochondria. ... The red and near-infrared light photons penetrate through the skull and into brain cells and spur the mitochondria to produce more ATP.2 Apr 20‘
Who knows?! Arg it’s a bee atch !
I hv been using red lite therapy for a while but haven't noticed any big difference. Perhaps I should be looking for small incremental changes instead. I was impressed with the nasa studies as well as anecdotal comments on several sites, so maybe my expectations were too high. I hope sunvox has suggestions.
@swtb Thanks for that, out of interest what sort of red light therapy have you been using? I first heard of it a year ago and put my name down for one which targeted the cerebellum. They have just emailed me to say that one is available, but it’s very expensive- -£800

The year waiting list and studies ongoing with war veterans are persuasive, but I’m not sure still, hence why I asked for some feedback
I don’t want to make a desperation purchase, but I am desperate!
OK I have had this for a few weeks now but have not noticed any changes - it is red light and infrared

We are all so different and hopefully it will work for others - I am keeping trying x
Thanks kitty! Is it a brain cap using near infrared light? This is what I’m on about?
.
‘In this transcranial PBM (tPBM) application, near-infrared (NIR) light is often applied to the forehead because of the better penetration (no hair, longer wavelength). Some workers have used lasers, but recently the introduction of inexpensive light emitting diode (LED) arrays has allowed the development of light emitting helmets or “brain caps”.
Has anyone used vielight for ataxia? If so could you share your experience?
