hi everyone
looking 4 reliable powerchair
Hi 111 I have an Invercare powerchair( Mirage) it goes like a dream, the price of it was £2095 but I didn’t buy it, RAF gave it to me, I’m RAF Veteran.
I suspect all makes are reliable. From experience its who maintains it that proves reliability. The batteries are the item that need changing, everything else appears to last. Choosing a service agent might decide what you get.
Hi, 111 sillyme, I have a energi plus wheelchair, I think it is great comfy with extra cushion on, has never let me down and cost about £1,300
Suzie
thanks Suzie. will write down energy plus and price, cant remember things these days
Dear 111...... DONT buy from eBay, you don’t know what you will get, go to genuine powerchair retailers only. 👍😀
Are you aware as a PIP recipient, you can lease a powered scooter or chair?
You need to receive mobility part of PIP, what I call part 2. With part 1 only, you get 50% Road Fund License (Car tax), part 2 get 100% off RFL. But you knew that.
dont get PIP, retired get DLA can drive on good day, so still keeping car, got luggie (small mob scooter) which i can get outa car, but only once day cos going round shops tires me out. Shoulder and arm joint on right r fucked, also thumb/hand joint on left hand. ..........that is y physio thinks p/chair good idea cos wont have 2 reach forward so far with right hand
