Unashamed plug.

I've just walked 500 miles, between Girona and Murcia in Spain, to raise ataxia awareness and funds for Ataxia UK (now £900).

The story in 38 photographs:

I have seen some amazing places; but most memorable were some of the truly exceptional people who I have been lucky enough to meet.

Next stop: a wee walk across the United States!

[All of this walking is just my way of coping with the knowledge that it won't be possible soon I guess. My family are kind of split on it: half of them would prefer if I stayed at home and prepared for a less-abled future; the other half say "Just go, if you want to" - I prefer what they have to say - and if I can raise funds for Ataxia UK at the same time, then why not; and when it comes to raising ataxia awareness - wearing a kilt was a masterstroke - I have had my photograph taken hundreds of times (always with an "ataxia" t-shirt too of course ;) ]

Thanks B.

It'll soon just be a bad memory. How it all ended reflects in no way on the absolutely wonderful experiences I have had. And the truly amazing people that I met along the way. :)

No at all derbyrose. Just doing what I like doing. And if I can raise funds/awareness at the same time, then why not?....
