Time for a moan

Hey folks. I had an asthma attack yesterday and have come here to moan. I’ve seen the doctor and started on pred so should feel better soon I hope. At the moment I’m stuck at home with all the windows shut on this beautiful day. Am ok sitting still but breathless and wheezy when I move about, so not much activity planned for the next few days. It sucks being this ill in the summer. Hope everyone is doing ok - feel free to rant below too if you need to.

In a pretty similar situation right now! It’s particularly annoying when the weather is so nice.

Take it easy and hope you feel better soon x

I hope you feel better soon too ... I’m in the same boat off work again and doing very little .... it’s the unpredictable nature of asthma that I just can’t get on with ... x

Thanks. I guess lots of us are suffering at the moment. Hope you both feel better soon.

Same here! I said I'd work from home but may have to just admit defeat as my brain is not up to dealing with work today (especially in an area that's new to me and requires focus. I feel sure I am writing gibberish.)

Been like this since Wednesday and no improvement yet - texted asthma nurse, really want something to help! Also cross as I had plans at the weekend - much needed hairdo and party - already had.to reschedule hair and party looking very unlikely!

I also hate the unpredictability. I had to give up my choir because I was too . unreliable, even though I can sing when ok. Want to do other music but again don't trust lungs to behave predictably.

Massive rant over sorry! Hope everyone starts to feel better and manages to salvage the weekend.

I agree re unpredictability being one of the most difficult things to manage. I find it very hard to make plans, or I make them and have to cancel and feel like a flake. It can be a struggle to stay positive. I find meditation helpful.

Hope you all feel better soon.
