chesty cough cure????

Hi,

Does anybody have any suggestions on what I can take to stop a chesty cough I have tried the usual cough mixtures? I have had a flu type virus for the last 5 days and I have a real chesty cough that goes with it. I can't stop coughing and haven't slept for more than an hour at a time for the last 3 days and am at the point now where I am in agony every time I cough because I have pulled all of my tummy muscles and am wreching as well. I can't stand it any more

Any help would be much appreciated

The ones that dont affect me with my various other meds and seem to work for me are benylin and vicks? You have prob tried them.

The only other is sugar, honey and a bit of whiskey warmed up in the microwave!! n helps sleep a bit too.If its the virus it may well help taking regular paracetamol and this will help stay on top of the pain aswell.

I take covona but in a drop of warm water as it works better.
