nuts
hi, dont have nut allergy self, but have flown reciently and flights do still provide nuts as snacks, not always as the free with drinks but sometimes for sale especially if flying budget, ie easyget, i would suggest you mack contact with air line and insist on the severity of prob, go for allergic to nut vapour even if not tru as may not appreciate it so much. be demanding,
good luck, George x
Nuts
Hi, my daughter has a very severe peanut allergy (reacts just from being near them) and we have found that Airtours did not serve peanuts or any nuts on their flights. However like all airlines they said they cannot be responsible for what other passengers take onto the flight for a snack. You would need to speak to the airline direct (not the travel agent) and ask them their policy regarding snacks. They did however make sure she had a nut free meal.
Also, just something else to consider, you have to advise your Insurance Company that you have a nut allergy and what medication you carry.
hope this helps a bit.
if you look on the anaphylaxis UK site they have specific advice re flying with nut allergies - seemed quite helpful when i noticed it a wee while ago
