Swine Flu Risk in asthmatic children

My son goes to a nursery where they have had their first case of swine flu confirmed.

His asthma is seasonal & he is usually on his preventer from Autumn through winter.

With this added risk, is it worth me putting him back on his preventer now??

Any advice would be appreciated as can't get through to a GP & NHS Direct is manic!!

Hello Nessa,

Yes, GPs are manic at mo - took me 25 mins to get through this AM!

I would advise you phone the Asthma UK Help line - free on

0800 121 62 44 (See in red at top of screen)

Hope this helps a bit!

Kate
