Which part of Somerset? I used to live there but live in Oxford now. Not really from anywhere I can put my finger on, we moved around a lot. I was born in Northumberland though and lived 'up north' for a while (before moving to Somerset).

I'm in Mid Somerset, moved from Bristol. Turns out air quality is bad here & pollen high due to geography and being in a 'bowl' with the hills around. Grrr, anyway like it otherwise.

Ah, I was more up towards the Dorset end, near Yeovil/Street. I have a friend who works in Taunton now though.

I've heard Oxford has the same problem, the pollution settles in the 'bowl'. Someone at work told me this and said 'maybe your asthma will go away/get better if you're out of Oxford'. I wish! It follows me everywhere like Mary's lamb, and there's not even the possibility of a nice kebab (apologies to any veggies on here ;))

Born in Bromley then moved further out to the Kentish countryside. Asthma improved on leaving the smog filled borough of bromley. Until fields surrounding house re planted with rapeseed 2 years ago!! Thank you mr.farmer.chell

United States...I couldn't find an asthma support group over here where people had to deal with it every day...you know mostly people asking ""is this asthma?"" Anyways, I'm from California(West Coast) but live on the East Coast (New Jersey).

I think I've always had asthma but the Autum is much worse here and figured that out within about 2 minutes of moving.

I grew up in Suffolk and now commute between my cottage there and Berkshire as and when school holidays allow. Yes, the whole of the Thames Valley suffers from the 'bowl' effect: my GP is convinced I should leave Berkshire!
