I've got an interview for a really good job. It includes a 10 min presentation and I am concerned this may trigger my asthma symptons. I've been told that voice is a big part of how you come across in an interview and my voice gets very weak and if I have to talk too much, I can also start coughing. I normally take my inhaler before having to to talk a lot (meetings, training sessions etc) but normally there would be a chance to get my breathing under control while others are talking.
I know how you feel! I recently went through the same situation - a 10 minute presentation in an interview for the job I really wanted. I was very nervous, which is never brilliant for my asthma, but I was also full of a cold and the weather had turned chilly too. My advice would be to take a couple of doses of inhaler just before you go in for the interview, then when you're doing the presentation take your time and if you feel your voice going pause to have a drink of water, giving you the chance to take a few deep breaths. I did this several times during my presentation and despite coming away from the interview thinking that I had done badly, they phoned an hour and half later to offer me the job, saying my presentation was brilliant lol. I didn't need to take my inhaler in the actual interview but I guess if the situation arose you could always explain that your asthma is a bit wobbly because you're nervous? I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck with your interview.

Thanks. I'm going to get up early and have a hot bath as this also helps sometimes and will give the Seretide plenty of time to work.
