hi Emmaox. Take it as soon as you feel its harder to breath or before you know you will need it.eg better taken before out and about than find you are strugling when get town and over done it.x

I guess it's worth taking reliever then and seeing if it helps. You can always take it again if you still develop symptoms. I have tried taking mine when I know I'm going to have problems but I tend to then get worse again within half an hour to an hour and need it again eg. if I wake up tight and wheezy and take reliever straightaway by the time I get to work I'm still coughing and SOB so may as well wait until get to work.

Hmmmm... Well, I just found out that when first symptoms(usually cough or tingling in throat) start and I take ventolin I can mostly prevent an attack.

I used to kind of ignore these first symptoms as I got so used to them.

Prevention is better than the cure so it works for me.

Hope you'll manage to keep it all at bay.

Love Lydia x
