Can I take meds at the same time?

Does anyone happen to know if it ok to take lansoprazole at the same time as antihistamines in the morning?

Sorry to be a pain - but I have so many to take right now that I likely to forget oif don't take at same time - if it's ok...

I'm not a medic, but just wanted to tell you that I take Lanzaprasole at the same time as loratadin, and they seem to work ok.

Hi there,

Lansoprazole is not usually a problem when taken with other meds. Antacids (such as Rennies and others that you can buy over the counter) should not usually be taken with any other medication, as the antacids can reduce the absorption of the other meds. However, proton pump inhibitors such as lansoprazole are not exactly antacids and are not thought to affect absorption to the same degree.

Stomach pain is listed as a potential side effect of lansoprazole, but it is not one that I am aware occurs particularly frequently. If it is a new problem, you should discuss it with your GP.

Just a quick addition to Emh's reply don't take gaviscon with aledronate (fosimax) apparently you need to wait ""some hours"" . That pill gives me dreadful indigestion and I have to resist the temptation to swig gavison on fosimax days
